Paying Post

I’ve been thinking about paid blogging for a while but had get to find a site that caught my eye. Then I heard about Paying Post. I’ve read many a review recently about it from current member and from what they have said it  seems pretty good.
How better to make a bit of extra money than from the comfort of your own home. And for those who already have a blog and blog often then it’s not going to be difficult for you to write about things. You can do what you’re already doing, but make some money doing it. And unlike an actual job, you can work when you want.
If you want more information about paid blogging you should check out their paid blogging related articles.

There are many benefits to both companies and bloggers of blog advertising. For companies it’s a cheaper and easier way for them to get information about a product or service out there. Nowadays people spend more time on the internet than watching television (now you can even watch TV shows on the internet), so tv adverts are not reaching that big an audience. For bloggers it is an easy way to make some extra cash and you only need a computer with access to the internet and a blog to write in.

Out of the many sites I’ve visited that allow you to earn money by blogging, Paying Post definitely has a more professional look. They have a clean and simple layout and it is easy to find your way around the site.

If you are thinking of paid blogging then I’d definitely recommend Paying Post and once you’ve had a look at the site I’m sure you’d agree with me that it seems like one of the best paid blogging sites out there, so go register.

Valentines Recipes

As it’s nearing Valentines Day I thought I’d post a few Valentine recipes for you to try.

Valentine Pancakes

    Ingredients:
    2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    ½ teaspoon salt
    1 ¾ cups milk
    2 eggs
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    Powder sugar for dusting
3 inch metal heart shaped cookie cutters

    Instructions:
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Gently fold in the chocolate chips. In a separate bowl combine the milk, eggs, oil and brown sugar and add to flour mixture. Stir just until moistened (do not over mix)
Heat the griddle or skillet over low to medium heat. Brush the heart-shaped cookie cutters with a little oil and place in griddle. Pour ¼ cup batter into cookie cutters and cook until pancake starts to bubble. Remove the cookie cutters then turn and cook for another minute on the other side or until slightly golden
Sprinkle with dusting sugar and serve.

      Heart-Shaped Cookies

    Ingredients:
    1 cup butter
    1 cup confectioner’s sugar
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon cream of tartar

    Instructions:

In a large bowl combine the butter and sugar. Beat in the egg and vanilla and mix well. Mix in the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Mix until smooth. Divide dough into three equal pieces.
Work with one dough piece at a time. Roll out on a lightly floured surface. Using cookie cutters cut out two equal sized heart shapes for each cookie. Then using a smaller heart
shaped cookie cutter cut out another heart in the center of one of the heart shaped cookies. Spread the solid heart cookie with a little strawberry jam/jelly and place on cookie sheet, top with the second cookie (the one with the heart-shaped center cut out). The center of each cookie will reveal a red jelly heart.
Repeat process until all dough is used. Bake cookies at 350F for approximately 8 minutes or until golden and baked through.

Amazing

I bought Mat tickets to see Slipknot for his birthday, and last night was the concert. Now I’m not a huge fan of the support acts, but getting to see Slipknot live was simply amazing. They have so much energy and their stage presence is awesome.

The support acts were Children of Bodom and Machine Head and even though I’ve never really listened to either all that much their sets were enjoyable. I think I just like live music. There’s a completely different atmosphere than when listening to recorded songs. I’ll probably be more likely to listen to them now that I’ve seen them live.

Slipknot were incredible. They were on for over an hour and played only two songs off their new album, which I don’t really mind cause their older stuff is better. Shockingly they didn’t play Wait and Bleed, but played Prosthetics, which I don’t think anyone was expecting. Hearing Spit It Out live was brilliant, it’s so fast that I don’t know how Corey manages to get all the words out.

Well enough about that. It’s only three days until I go home for Christmas and I can’t wait. Being back in Manchester last night was strange, but being back for almost a month is going to be even stranger.

Only a week to go…

until I finish for Christmas. Yay.

Gotta get all my assignments done by the end of next week so I can have almost two months off. I’m quite looking forward to Christmas, though I have no idea what I’m getting.

I don’t actually have much else to say right now, so I think I’m going to go and watch more Without a Trace.

Site updates: Added a twitter widget, so you can keep track of what I’m doing. I’ll hopefully update it every day.

xoxo
